Single Review: Drama by Native Sons

Louisville-based rock band Native Sons are gearing up for the release of their next single titled “Drama” to be released April 2nd. After a successful release of their debut album “The Natives Are Restless” back in March 2021, they have been busy out on the road playing gig after gig and festival after festival kicking ass. Not only have they been tearing it up out on the road, but this single is the first taste of what the band has been cooking up in the studio.

“Drama” packs a punch from the first notes and immediately establishes a groove that makes you want to bob your head along. This track is a new chapter for Native Sons with a heavier sound and a grittier, edgier backbone. After a series of member changes, the lineup is getting closer to being solidified with the current group featuring vocalist Ashton Blake, guitarists Victor Adriel and JT Shea, bassist Jim Quiggins and drummer Mike Little. Everything a great song needs, this song has – driving drums, groovy bass, solid rhythm guitar balanced with blazing leads, and all rounded out with powerful vocals. “Drama” is 3 minutes of pure, balls-out, no bullshit rock n’ roll that you will definitely have on repeat.
