Sights and Sounds is an alternative rock band based in Canada. The band’s latest album “No Virtue” dropped in fall 2019. The album opens with the title-track – my personal favorite for its catchy hook and musical build. The album’s fourth track, “Caught Up”, features the soft yet high-pitched vocals of Canadian singer-songwriter Nicole Dollanganger. “Black Mamba” well displays the band’s musical diversity from softer vocals to aggressive vocals, from the heavy drums to electronic keys. The album closes with a pretty calm track – “Commonality”. Each song on this 10 track album runs for around 4 minutes each and has a short, yet memorable title. What stuck out to me most about this album is its creative use of electronic sounds weaved with typical rock elements.
